Who was Youssor?

This app carries my brother's name. Youssor left this world, but the light he brought into the lives around him did not leave with him. He was gentle where the world is harsh, generous without being asked. He had a personality that made everyone near him feel a little more at peace, and made everyone feel heard.
His name, Youssor (يُسْر), means ease. It is the same ease Allah promises in His words: “Indeed, with hardship comes ease” (Ash-Sharh 94:6). Building this app became my way of holding onto that promise, turning grief into something that brings ease to others.
I built Youssor so that his memory would not rest in silence, but live on in every verse recited, every prayer remembered, and every dua whispered through it. May it be a means of nearness to Allah for whoever uses it, and may its reward reach him. Allahouma Ameen.
اللّهُمّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَاجْعَلِ الْجَنّةَ مَثْوَاهُ
